Renowned writer Fatos Arap dies

He is separated from life at the age of 88, the renowned Albanian writer Fatos Aarapi.
Fatos Arap was born in 1929 in Vlora. There he conducted high school, while high studies were attended in Bulgaria (Sofia) at the Faculty of Mathematics and Economy.
He has worked many years as a journalist and professor at the Faculty of History Philology in Tirana. It has sometimes won national and international poetry awards. In 2008 he won the Golden Wreath in the poetry celebration of the Strugan Poetry Evenings and is the first Albanian poet to have won this reward.
Fatos Arp's work is rich in different species of black and white. In addition to the poetry where he stands in the front lines, Arapi wrote several novels: Wild potatoes, 1969; Snow breast, 1985; Headless genius, 1999 etc; some novels: December concerned, 1970; Friends, 1977; Sea in the middle, 1986; some drama: Nameless Partizan, 1962; Kezar and good soldier Shveke, on the front somewhere in 1995; he has made several translations: Song for Man, Nikola Vapcarov, 1981; Poetry, Pablo Neruda, 1989; Safo, 1990; Turkish poetry anthology etc; and has written a large number of different articles and studies.
Albanian media report that Arap will be buried today.
