Prosecutor Releases Arrest for Vetvendosje Assistant

Vetevendosje Movement activist and Asamist Egzon Azemi has declared that the prosecution has issued a warrant for his arrest.

Using a post on social network “Facebook”, Azem wrote that Kosovo Police have gone to his house to arrest him.

Kosovo Police, early in the morning, came to my house to arrest me because Kadria River prosecutors have issued warrants. There they found me and knowing that today we have KPF meetings, they have come to the Pristina municipality, civil and uniformed. Now we're at the meeting, and maybe they're still waiting outside”, he wrote Azem.

He says he will not respond to the prosecution's invitations, since, according to him, “will sometimes not accept political judgments”.

Contacted by Calxo.com, Azem himself has said the police's rationale for arrest was participating in violent protests.

“It's about protests against Demarquement and {Zieednica], protests in 2016”, Azemi told Kalxo.com.
