Hurricane Leslie swept through the country at speeds of 174 miles per hour. Many flights were canceled, and hundreds of trees were completely destroyed.
This most powerful hurricane that has hit the country is passing south of Spain.
The most affected countries in the hurricane are around the city of Lisbon and peripheral parts such as Coimbra, Leiria. Aveiro, Vise.
About 1,900 incidents were reported at emergency centres, but Civil Protection Commander Luis Belo Costa said the great danger has passed.
