The admission of these cards was made by KP Director General Rashit Qalaj, who has also given a speech at the opening of this campaign that was held at the KPS Government facility, where it has presented the trafficking trend, the commitment of KP statistical figures, the results and dedication of the KP in preventing and fighting this phenomenon.
“Folders have been focused on the train/current problems in Kosovo: sexual exploitation of trafficking victims, the exploitation of victims for forced labour and exploitation for scathing, as well as indicators for identification of victims at border points. These folders will be distributed to all police officials, and in particular to the border points as information/preventive material, distribution will also be made to communities where the problem of trafficking/missing of victims tends to be more visible. Under this campaign, in support of ICITAP and the INL is working on improving technical conditions in the Intervention Chambers (friendly areas) of trafficking victims in five KB regions. The interview rooms are being equipped with mounted cameras and furniture that will meet a standard for treatment of trafficking victims. According to the police, all these activities are designed to raise awareness of the population and vulnerable groups in the prevention and growth of reference cases when it is suspected that someone is being exploited for trafficking.
