The Road Traffic Unit in Pristina in co-operation with the Ministry of Infrastructure has begun the plan for technical control of vehicles.
Lieutenant Nazmi Zogaj from the Regional Road Communications Unit in Pristina said this plan is aimed at controlling the situation of vehicles who are participants in communications.
Kosovo's “Road Communications Unit for Pristina has launched an operation aimed at technical control of vehicles, which are participants on the road” respectively, Zogaj told the callo. com
He added that implementation of this programme Communications Unit co-operated with infrastructure ministry inspectors and road directorate, which is within the ministry.
According to Zogaj, the plan is initially set to last until the end of this week.
“Plan will continue this week but it is not necessarily over because technical control is a routine job of the Kosovo Police, which goes on every time we do the driving of the tools on the road”, Zogaj says.
Zogaj says the plan envisions controlling all equipment, which is necessary to provide security while in circulation.
“We look at the lights in cars like this, the containment system, the view connected to car windows, the car mirrors, and any problems that could cause a roadblock to vehicle”, Zogaj explains.
He has shown what steps are taken by police in case the car is not in good technical condition.
“Zaconally during our search for technical control, in case we face that a vehicle is not in good technical condition and that it does not meet the safety standards to continue the circulation on the road, then we send it to technical control”, Zogaj said.
Under the law on rules in communications, the driver is fined 100 to 300 euros if irregularities are found in extraordinary technical control. /Call. com
