Deputy Minister for the KSF, Burim Ramadani and US Deputy Defence Secretary Laura Cooper have co-chaired the US-Kosovo Policy Workers Group meeting held at the Pentagon.
According to the media statement, strategic orientations in the field of security and defence in bilateral relations between Kosovo and the United States have been discussed and established during the joint group's meeting.
Also discussed are detailed issues on joint commitments in US support for the future defence ministry, with particular emphasis on The KSF in its new military and defence mandate and duties.
From the Kosovo side, KSF Commander Lieutenant General Nundman Rama, Ambassador Vlora Citaku and professional delegation have also attended the meeting.
Both delegations have presented goals and plans for joint work in the following year, as agreed on a series of supporting activities for the KSF, membership in regional initiatives, as well as commitments on international missions.
The meeting held in Washington has presented the way ahead during the KSF transition following the adoption of laws in the Kosovo Assembly.
Co-chairmen Ramadani and Cooper have praised the preparations made by both delegations for bilateral co-operation and stressed deepening the partnership in security and Kosovo- USA.
