At first, when environmental pollution had exceeded specific parameters at the risk of citizens' health, MPs adopted an environmental protection resolution.
Although one of the main factors for environmental pollution are old cars, only four months later, the deputy PDK's Mergim Lushtaku initiated changing Article 44 of the auto law.
This initiative is opposed by environmental protection activists, who call it a big mistake.
Environmental expert Professor Behxhet Mustafa appeals to the MP not to vote on this change, as he estimates this is being done for the interests of certain groups. However, the possibility of allowing the entrance of vehicles older than ten years remains in the hands of MPs to decide for or against this initiative.
