If one is the other loser winner, then no one wins”, Palmer said at the Belgrade Forum for Security, broadcast Koha.net.
In his words to the Serbian news agency beta, the US does not postpone and try for no specific result of the dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo.
“We encourage the parties to find the way forward and the lasting and long-term solution that both sides would accept”, he said.
Palmer has stressed that the U.S. is willing to listen and help, but he can't talk about details, first of all about the eventual territorial exchanges, because no plans have been presented.
As he has said, the US understands the concern that possible exchange of territories could foster crisis in other countries in the region, but also that the frozen conflict is a danger to regional stability.
He has said Serbia and Kosovo have European prospects and that they should be helped on this road.
