The process of exhuming the martyrs started on June 19th and ended on July 31st of this year, where two -- in the first phase -- were exhumed from Polaca's 112 morto remains of the martyrs and the 101 -- have been exhumed in the Navy, while two -- at Landovica two -- in Klechka one, five in Split and one in Ferizaj.
The second phase has exhumed the bodies of 53 martyrs from the villages of Drennas and Skokyright and re-crowned at the Memorial complex in Mary.
The Organising Council for Development and Redependence of the Witnesses of Drenica's former Operational Zone was founded on Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj's decision on May 8th 2018.
In the composition of the Council are the municipalities of Skenderaj and Drenas, the prime minister's office, the Government Commission for Missing Persons, the National Institute of Legal Medicine, the Institute for Management of Memorial Confusions, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Kosovo Security Force.
Also present at the Navy memorial complex today will be the country's three institutional leaders -- President Hashim Thaci, Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj -- and Chief Parliamentary Kadri Wessel.
