According to a report by the Kosovo Democratic Institute, between April and June these MPs have realised 136 trips.
“Based on the financial report for the second three months of 2018, which Kosovo's Parliament has published, it is seen that MPs' spending on trips abroad has increased by 86% compared to the first three months of this year. Based on this report, only for trips by MPs abroad have been spent to a total of 112,236.13m on 136 trips realised. There are 70 Kosovo Assembly deputies who have realised official travel during this period”, the KDI report said.
According to this report, the most visited states on the part of MPs are Albania on 24 trips, Turkey, Germany, France are on 10 trips, while eight trips have been realised in the US.
The largest foreign travel budget share of <x0) has been spent on labour and travel tickets: 41,103.76 per blow, respectively, 40,781.65 per ticket. Meanwhile, 27,982.36 euros have been spent on accommodation in countries visited by MPs and 2,368.36 euros in the other expenditures category”, the report said.
According to KDI, in the published report, just as preliminary reports lack data concerning the reasons for visiting MPs abroad and dates showing how many MPs have stayed on a specific trip.
KDI also says not to publish the detailed spending report limits the budget management assessment by the Parliament.
