The Constitutional Court in Pristina has approved the Constitutional Prosecutor's request in Pristina for the appointment of the detention move against M.D. indictee due to suspicion that he has carried out criminal organisation and participation in terrorist groups and union or participation in the military or foreign police, in outside formations before military or before police, in group organisation or individually outside the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.
The M.D. defendants have been assigned detention measures for a month.
There is confidence that the defendant M.D. had gone from March 2013 through various roads in the Arab Republic of Syria and has joined various organizations, organizations declared as United Nations terrorist organisations.
The court has found that the request for the appointment of the detention measure against indictees M.D. is adequate and necessary at this phase of procedure, for ensuring his presence in criminal procedure and the unhindered development of the procedure, and also if found in freedom, the defendant could prevent the normal course of criminal procedure in view of the nature of criminal acts and their risk.
The side has a right to complaint against that decision at the Kosovo Court of Appeal.
