Mitrovica prosecution charges the dead 13 years ago

Mitrovica's founding prosecutor has filed charges against Bedri Fazliu for the criminal act “theft of municipal services “, but the same one died 13 years ago.

According to the document provided by KALLXO.com this indictment was filed on April 25th this year, but by official documents, it turns out the person against whom the indictment was filed died in 2005.

Through a letter attached to the death certificate, Kosovo police have announced that Bedri Fazliu has passed away on 17 May 2005.

The indictment, on the other hand, charges that Fazliu was committed in June 2017.

While in the personal data of the alleged defendant in the Mitrovica prosecution indictment, it is only that Bedri Fazliu from the village of Brobonic, Mitrovica municipality, his personal number and citizenship, but no other personal details have been cited, such as the country of birth, schooling, profession and so on.

While in criminal charges against Bedri Fazliu (now felt ) had made KEDS on December 12th 2017, under suspicion of committing criminal work “the arrival of municipal services”.

KEDS on July 15th 2017 had made a proceverbal to ascertain the theft of electricity, while as consumers had marked the name of Bedri Fazliu, they had mentioned at the end of this record “pala present, refusing”.

The Constitutional Court of Mitrovica has begun the judicial procedure against the late Bedri Fazliu, while through a warrant had asked Kosovo Police, the handover of the invitation and the prosecution's indictment of Bedri Fazliu for the session, which had been scheduled to be held on 23 October.

The court was announced by the police station in southern Mitrovica that after going to the village of Broboniq, as the reported address in the indictment, by a neighbour there have been reported that Bedri Fazliu had passed away several years ago, and that there had been no one at the accused's house.

Police later October 22nd of this year had gone to the state of the civil office in Mitorvica, where they had also received confirmation the person charged by the basic Mitrovica prosecution had died on May 15th 2005.

And Bekim Veliqi, the case judge after this information, has stopped the criminal procedure in this case.
