Millions of euros have been misused by the health budget for medicines on the essential list, favouring economic operators at astronomical prices.
A “Imatinib”, used for leukemia treatment, was paid 32 euros a year ago, while the same was purchased with only 3.69 euros.
Millions of euros are estimated to have been misused by the Health Ministry's budget in tenders for supply of “Imatib”, which is used in addition to the treatment of chronic leukemia, is also used for treatment of mountain tumors in the lukth, since the price of supply for this state institution was much higher than the price on the retail market.
One such tablet (Imatib), dedicated to the Ministry of Health a year earlier, had been bought 32 euros until the retail price was fourfold cheaper.
For such astronomical prices of this shepherd, the newspaper “Voice” had reported that the price at the drug store was evidently cheaper.
This year, after continued media reporting on the issue, the Health Ministry (MSH) has bought the same bar as 3.69 euros, or about 28 euros cheaper than a year ago.
Health Ministry officials have indicated that with the new tender for supplies with pills “Imatib” the state budget has been saved for 414.324 euros, while the next tender for money supply for budget shemodylalyza has been saved of 571,369 euros.
The MSH's “in total of all current procurement activities has managed to save about 6m euros from the RH, under preliminary contracts and envisioned values”, says the response of the Health Ministry's Media Office, which is headed by the Ismajli Bridge.
