Minister Shala: Our children will no longer be exposed to dangerous toys

Shala has said children will no longer be exposed to dangerous toys because all imports that have no quality certificates according to EU standards will not be allowed to enter the Kosovo market.
“Today I've come to escort the last phase, toy disposal, and through the media to send the message to all Kosovo citizens that we've begun to control the market and our children will no longer be exposed to dangerous toys. We are committed to having detailed control of the quality of products on the Kosovo market. I would like to inform you that so far we have confiscated 17 thousand dangerous toys units and in co-operation with Kosovo customs we have banned 17 imports at the border. Also today, I have been informed by the inspectorate that another amount has been banned that has attempted to continue and enter the Kosovo market”, the minister Shala stressed.
According to the Minister of Trade and Industry, the focus will be consumer protection in relation to the quality of goods.
My “Fokus will be consumer protection in relation to the quality of products, and in addition to increasing inspections on the domestic market, we are also in co-operation with customs we are preventing the market of whatever goods may be dangerous for consumer use”, the minister said.
The minister has asked all businessmen not to import goods that do not meet standards into Kosovo and may endanger the health of children.
“I call on all businessmen to be careful in products that import them, and sell them to the Kosovo market, to be certified and according to EU standards not to risk child health”, Minister Shala has said.
