After that date, the ministry will collect bids arrived at the Public Procurement Agency to make their assessment later. While the winner will operate with a concessional contract of the WORLD form.
The contract envisions that the deal will be for reconstruction, operation, transfer of Kukes Airport. The selection of the winning bidder will take place on the basis of an open competitive procedure. While the duration of the concessional contract is 35 years from entering into force.
The introduction of this airport is aimed at lowering the price of flight tickets at the “International Airport, Mother Teresa”, which is considered much more expensive than in the region.
