KSF Commander Lieutenant General Beman Rama and Deputy Minister of the Kosovo Security Force Burim Ramadani and, during the official visit to the United States, have been hosted by Senator Joni Ernst in Washington D.C.
At the meeting the MSF delegation held with senators from Iowa was discussed on joint Kosovo commitments- The US in the field of security and defence and for Kosovo's ability in dealing with regional and global challenges.
KSF Commander Lieutenant General Nundman Rama underlined the KSF's readiness to contribute to the security of the region and beyond.
“The KSF is willing to start transitioning to military mandate, based on the long-term plan we have coordinated. The KSF will continue to be professional, multiethnic, reliable and ready”, General Rama said.
Ramadani stressed the Kosovo Government's orientation to building KSF capacities in the military and defence mandate based on American standards.
“for Kosovo is vital to continue building the KSF with US standards in doctrine, leadership, the weapons system and in equipment”, Deputy Prime Minister Ramadani said, expressing Kosovo's orientation for full partnership with the US.
Meanwhile, Senator Ernst expressed its will and readiness for Kosovo's continued support in building capacities for security and protection.
Ambassador Vlora Citaku, KSF Minister Yashar Ramadani's cabinet chief, Kosovo Defence attaché Colonel Ilir Qeriqi, US Spiritism Isufaj and Kosovo Defence attaché Colonel Ryan Nicholls attended the meeting.
The MSF delegation is standing for official visit to the US in terms of advancing bilateral Kosovo- U.S. Security and Defense.
