KSF Deputy Minister Burim Ramadani and US Deputy Defence Secretary Laura Cooper have co-chaired the US-Kosovo Policy Workers Group meeting held at the Pentagon.
“During the joint group meeting, strategic orientations in the area of security and defence have been discussed and established in bilateral relations between Kosovo and the US. Also discussed are detailed issues on joint commitments in US support for the future defence ministry, with particular emphasis on The KSF in the new military and defence mandate and tasks”, the MSF communiqué says.
KSF Commander Lieutenant General Tman Rama and Ambassador Vlora Citaku also attended the working group meeting.
“Delegations have introduced goals and plans for joint work, in the following year, as agreed on a series of supporting activities for KSF, membership in regional initiatives, as well as commitments on international missions.
The meeting held in Washington has presented the way ahead during the KSF transfer following the adoption of laws in the Kosovo Assembly.
Deputy Prime Minister Ramadani and Cooper have praised the preparations made by both delegations for bilateral co-operation and stressed deepening partnerships in security and Kosovo- U.S. ”, said in communiqué.
