British expert for international relations James Ker Lindsey has said there is a willingness that the idea of restructuring the border between Kosovo and Serbia stand on the table, even though it at first has liked a small number of officials.
So he interprets Lindsay to the Serbian newspaper “Blic” the latest news from Brussels that the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee with a large majority, approved draft report for Serbia and also adopted an amendment dealing with talks on possible border correction, as part of a final solution in dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.
According to British expert, the EU accepts two important issues -- that relations between Kosovo and Serbia must normalise -- and that, according to him, the sooner this happens -- will be better for both sides.
And the second, Lindsay, says the EU is clear that it is not proper to stand between an agreement between Belgrade and Pristina until certain conditions are met.
He also stresses that it is a big question is whether both sides are really ready to reach an agreement.
I have always believed that some kind of territorial agreement is the most logical solution to the Kosovo issue”, Ker-Lindsey stressed, transmits Telegrafi.
As he said, the agreement between Kosovo and Serbia would be a major step forward for regional stability.
„Uccolico that my Buddha updravalalo pvilno, to b polyglo stabilize Zapnog Balkana, a otvorio bi that puts brêm članstvu u EU Belgrade of Priçtin“, zakljuzio je Ker-Landzia „Blic“
“If this is managed fairly, it will help stabilise the Western Balkans, and pave the way for the most secure EU membership of Kosovo and Serbia “, Lindsay said.
British expert James Ker Lindsay, even in 2011, had mentioned the idea of changing borders between Kosovo and Serbia.
He had said that “if Belgrade has a good plan, it is likely that change of borders and Kosovo's north will be introduced into the composition of Serbia”.
