The head of the country's Legislation, which is standing for a visit to London, has commented on Saturday's protest in Pristina, addressing strong criticism of Albin Kurti, but also spoke of President Thaci's visit to Wajman, as has mentioned the issue of visa liberalisation and early parliamentary elections.
Speaking of Saturday's protest, he said the protest is a legitimate citizens' right, but which declared that protest failed to convey the message it should deliver, since it was not in defense of Kosovo's borders.
“The messages that would have to be sent to the Serbian political factor in northern Kosovo, but organisers focused on increasing internal divisions that was an error”, Veselin told RTK.
According to him, Kosovo does not win by partition and deepening domestic hatred, but what needs to happen should have a constant position and opposition.
Wessel said that part of the opposition has chosen the most uninhibited route in order to benefit through political manipulation.
“Make it clear that Kosovo is one and will never be divided, with a Euro-Atlantic perspective” said Veselin , who urged opposition parties from London to join in resolving all issues, saying that the “of all of us is Serbia”.
The Speaker of the Parliament sharply criticised VV leader Albin Kurti.
“Albin Kurti was superficial and populist manipulator. He was not impressed by his constant change of attitude...”, Vessel said.
Commenting also on President Hashim Thaci's visit a day earlier to Weyman, the head of the Veselin Parliament said it would have been supported if this were to happen on another day, not the same day that protests were held in Pristina.
I would have given the greatest benefit of my visit to Wyman, as if it were on another day. If you provoke an Albin Kurt, this does not mean that it should plant the prey of his provocation, of a manipulator like Albin Kurti”, he said of RTK Deputy Secretary Kadri Wessel.
Asked about the possibility of moving to early elections, Veselin said that “is not a priority, when the fact is that Kosovo is ahead of a phase of final dialogue with Serbia”.
Meanwhile, regarding visa liberalisation, Wessel said it is necessary for visas to be removed by the end of this year.
