Rebet rains also turned the main route into rivers, causing chaos throughout the country.
The rapid floods are said to have killed a fireman in Spain, and the rapid waters destroyed many homes.
Except for Spain, heavy rain hit large parts of the country on Sunday evening in Italy.
Rome had turned into ice, covering all roads.
