Hurricane Michael in the United States leaves nothing behind

Hurricane Michael has destroyed the city of Mexico Beach in northwest Florida in the United States, officials said.

The storm has landed there on Wednesday, with winds up to 250 miles per hour.

Over 1.4 million homes have been without electricity in Florida, Alabama Georgia and Virginia on Friday morning.

Michael, one of the most powerful hurricanes in the history of the United States, left at least 11 people dead while the search for survival continues.

U.S. Army personnel used heavy equipment to clean down fallen trees so that rescue teams could reach stranded residents.

The mother of all bombs does no more harm than this”, said the mayor of Mexico Beach, Tom Bailey.

Frustrated in winds at up to 50 miles per hour, Michael is headed northeast of the United States, the National Centre for Urangan said.
