Gjakova has become the host of a table of discussion among all local relevant institutions for testing the database for domestic violence.
Deputy Justice Minister simultaneously and National Commissioner for Family Violence Naim Celaj has said that establishing a database on domestic violence, though late, is very important. According to him, it is not fought by hiding it, but by reporting it to relevant institutions.
Celaj also gave the reasons why Gjakova to be trusted this pilot project is highly assessing local level engagement there for preventing domestic violence. Among other things, he added that the success or failure of this test in Gjakova will depend on the future of this database.
