Official Berlin today called on Macedonia to continue in terms of accepting an agreement with Greece on changing the name, which would bring the country closer to the country NATO and the EU.
German Chancellor Stephen Saubert's spokesman said the strong support in a referendum held Sunday was a <x0 base” for continuing to change the country's name, though turnout was low, the AP reports.
“It is important to continue with the support of the implementation of the” agreement, Sabbert said, adding that the agreement offers a historical “has” to remove the obstacle to Macedonia's entry into NATO and the EU.
