The French National Assembly today approved an increase in France's contribution to the European Union budget (BE) 2019.
After three hours of debate in Parliament, MPs agreed to increase the French contribution to 21.5 billion euros from 20.6 billion to 2018.
This increase in French contribution is largely explained by an increase in the need to finance the EU's Common Agricultural Policy (...), which is also the priority of France”, French Minister of European Affairs Natalia Loisau stressed.
