Turkish President Recep Tayip Erdogan has promised to reveal the naked “truth for the journalist's murder, Jamal Khashoggi, in the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul.
Erdogan, who has not blamed Saudis anyway, will speak to members of his ruling Justice and Development Party.
Turkish officials have said they have evidence showing Khahoggi has been killed in consulates on 2 October. After weeks of conflicting reports, Saudis now say he was killed in a bad operation.
Erdogan's speech coincides with the launch of an investment conference in Saudi Arabia, which has been overshadowed by the case “Khashoggi” and that dozens of governments or business leaders have boycotted.
America itself has not done so, with US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, who is in Riyadh for this conference, while he also met with Saudi throne heir Mohammed bin Salman in the capital of Arabia. At a closed-door meeting, a Treasury Department spokesman has said that Mnuchin and Salman have discussed economic and terrorism issues, as well as Khashogg's death.
Saudi state media have reported that they have cited “the importance of Saudi Arabia's strategic partnership- USA” Saudis have said they have arrested 18 people, fired two assistants to Prince Salman and established a commission under his leadership to reform the Intelligence Agency after Khashogg's murder. /Top Channel
