The Electronic and Post Communications Authority (AKEP) published a 44-page internet list with a 72-hour “to publish their fiscal number”, or otherwise closed.
And this report awakened numerous despots in Kosovo and Albania, and one of them DP chairman Lulzim Basha charged that AKEP is Rama's opinion police.
The director of this institution, Ilir Zela, has reacted to Basha, suggesting that he see his work, while writing that at best he considers Basha's statement immature.
Ilir Zela's Reaction
Mr. Basha, I suggest you look at your work, which I wish you would do better, not concentrate on getting other people's work done. On the contrary. Your statement about AKEP is in the best case immature, and in the worst case, find your own name.
AKEP doesn't intend to shut down any online media, because if it had that goal, the implementation of the existing law, passed by your vote, to shut down a large part of it.
But no, AKEP aims to help formulate all online portals and request for NIPT to be placed in the KONTAKT section of the website, stems from the law not from any dark AKEP target. To facilitate this explanation, I invite you and whoever you want to click an online media in the neighbouring country, Italy. There you will find the identifying NIPTT, which is not a mark of censorship but an identity card of economic activity. And yes, Mr. Basha, every online media (exclude individual blogs) is a trade entity and not a brake from where unidentified people shoot, not showing even funding sources, and even offering space for commercial advertising or other nature sales.
The AKEP is responsible for his work before the Albanian Assembly and faces numerous challenges in his activities, for which he has deserved and deserves the continued support of MPs of all sides, and what is most important of the general public. So in this case, I invite you to support us, not to stop us. I bring to your attention, recently the full public support AKEP revised the domain registration rules with the sole aim of protecting their users from abuse. Identification of domain name owners is an AKEP legal responsibility.
So Mr. Basha, look at your work and if you can't help at least don't attack and blackmail AKEP. Because AKEP is an institution of legitimacy and the state of justice, not a blind tool like you are blindly labelled.
