Early on the morning of May 24, 1987, Kenneth Parks a 23-year-old Canadian married and had a five-month-old girl who spent 22 miles going to his mother-in-law's house and got a <x0-bed of tires” from his car, walked into their house, beat them both in a repeat manner.

According to foreign media, it records Telegrafi, while his father - in - law, although severely injured, survived the attack, his mother - in - law died.

Parks, however, was acquitted of all charges. The reason was that he had no motive and was found to have been sleepy during the entire attack.

Parks had a variety of lucky games, and to feed them “this dependence, he had pocketed tens of thousands of dollars from his employer, and had lost his family's savings and put them in debt.

Ashamed of losing his job, Parks had also stopped visiting relatives for the past few months, even though he had a close relationship with them earlier.

The day of the attack was when Parks had agreed to attend a banquet at their home to show them the loss of their jobs, their debt, and the problem of their lucky games.

Although his wife had convinced him to start consulting to leave the game of fate, their marriage was still in crisis and Parks was sleeping in a separate bed at the time.

The couple also had a minor daughter.

Because of his problem with the game of fate, Parks had stopped being social, suffering from headaches and insomnia, and had gained a lot of weight. It was a time of great stress.

Very early on the morning of the attack, Parks is thought to be awake and drive about 22 miles [22 km], going to the house belonging to his wife's parents from Pickering, Ontario to their home in Scarborough, Ontario.

He took a tire lever from his car and walked into their house, using the key they had given him earlier.

He killed his father - in - law and then repeatedly attacked his mother - in - law.

At one point Parks ran into the couple's teenage girls' room before leaving without damaging them.

After that, he immediately went to the police station, where he arrived at 4:45 a.m. covered with blood, with wounded hands, groaning how he thought he had killed someone.

He was very sad, but he did not seem to be in pain despite relatively serious wounds.

According to Chicago Tribune, Park's lawyer, Marlys Edwardh, was able to argue successfully that he was asleep at the time.

When it was found to be completely sound, he was acquitted of all charges.

There is, however, conflicting evidence regarding Park's possibility to perform all these actions while he is really asleep and without any awareness of his actions.

Although an electroencephalographic study (EEG) showed that Parks had abnormal brain activity during sleep that was in line with sleep protection, these models may also be present when someone is under the influence of great stress or drugs.

Furthermore, Parks did not have a very strong history of sleep.

However, when Parks was a teenager, his mother remembered that he was awake one night and finding that he was trying to get out of a window of the sixth floor while still asleep.

This is the only sleepy incident he remembers, but there is an important story of family drowsiness. Park's grandfather cooked food during his sleep, but then he wouldn't eat it.

And Park's wife testified that she could not remember any incident when he was in such a state, even though she said that when he was in a deep sleep, it was difficult to wake up and often spoke in his sleep.

As it becomes known, Telegram is recorded, sleepy people tend to take only very common actions in familiar places.

They stay in their homes or just outside them and can seriously hurt themselves when they are in a new country because their brain still acts as if they were in a common environment.

It is thus estimated that it would be extremely unusual for Parks to perform such complicated actions, driving 14 miles into the dark, pulling the key out of the truck and unlocking the door without at least partially being aware.

Moreover, his mother - in - law was found in a room several metres from the bedroom where he was first attacked, and police found many signs of a desperate struggle in the house.

These events must have woke Parks from sleep, even if he had been in a deep sleep.

The defense, however, argued that Parks would have been very familiar with the way he traveled into the house.

In addition, there is evidence that sleepy people sometimes experience vivid hallucinations related to what they are doing.

In addition, the fact that Parks did not seem to have suffered pain when he was in the police station, despite injuries, may also be the result of drowsiness, as the brain suppresses some incentives, including pain.
