Russia refuses to accept the name change. After voting in the Macedonian Parliament, via the Russian Embassy's social network “Titter”, Russia sent a message of opinion saying it accepts Macedonia under its constitutional name and that this stance will not change.
“Russia has recognised the Republic of Macedonia by its constitutional name more than 26 years ago and will not change its stance”, writes the Russian Embassy's profile in Skopje.
