The bride kills herself right after the wedding, the terrible reason

A man has been accused of pushing his wife into suicide, allegedly pressuring her to take the virginity test, to reject the results later.

Rajabbi Khursed, 18, killed himself by drinking a deadly dose of vinegar, 40 days after the 24-year-old Zafar Pirov's wedding through the collection.

Speaking of Radio Free Europe, Khursed's family, which established the union, said their daughter was told on her deathbed that she had felt under massive pressure to accept Pirov's demands for a second woman, and that she could no longer bear.

Pirov could face eight years in prison if convicted of inciting suicide.

Tests of virginity for premarriage women are common in Tajikistan, where casual sex is considered socially unacceptable.
