Bahtiri: The Shakira s'do give it a penny if it comes in its interest

Mitrovica Mayor Agim Bahtiri is planning to bring Shakira to the bridge opening concert. He says the Latin American singer will not be paid a cent from the Mitrovica municipality and that she is in her interest and other singers to perform on the bridge that divided the town into two parts.

Bahtiri has decided on the day the Ibër bridge opened, to bring a world-renowned singer to Mitrovica. He said the star that will entertain Serbs and Albanians in Mitrovica will be English or American. However, Shakira is now the most concrete name.

However, Bahtiri says he doesn't intend to give a cent from the municipality for this event he plans to organise. According to Bahtir, it is in the interest of Shakira, or other singers, to attend an event.

There will be no separate means from the Mitrovica municipality for the financing of the concert because it is a matter that is in the interest of those who come here, because it is a major matter”, Bahtiri told Express.

Mitrovica's chairman has indicated that the Ibër Bridge will bear the name of the singer who will perform on her opening day.

Deputy Prime Minister Behgjet Pacolli has also supported the idea of opening a performance bridge of some world-renowned singer. This idea has been displeasing to Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, who considers the country where Bahitri plans to organise a major concert.
