South Mitrovica Chairman Agim Bahtiri has said that his counterpart from northern Mitrovica, Goran Rakiq, is holding the opening of the Ibri Bridge hostage. According to him, if Rakiq sé opens the bridge, the central Kosovo institutions will do so.
All works on revising the main Ibër bridge, a project that has been supported by the EU by 1.4m euros, have already been completed, while the Iber River bridge remains further closed for vehicle flow.
