Arrest of the strong ones in Albania, catch over 300

Another megaoperation has been undertaken since 20 September in every corner of Albania.

It's about punishing the strong. Those individuals who in open violation of the law violate public order and tranquillity and dare challenge the authority of the state and the force of law.

“Since mid-September implementing a country's prime minister's order and at the order of the interior minister, State Police scheduled the development of a control, prevention and punishment operation on territory. Lists were originally drawn up by local district police directors from every commissioner and Police Zone, individuals with criminal precedents, with social risk, as well as individuals problematic with their violent behavior in our social environments. By September 20th, the Police Department, Operational Forces, FNSH, especially forces RENEA under a detailed action plan has been widely engaged in territory in the realisation of the police operation codenamed “Punishment of “The strong”. All this activity faked at every corner of the country during this period has been deliberately developed in public silence, having first interest, results. ” State Police Director Ardi Veliu informed.

They've only been arrested under this operation, over 300 people in pro-active territory checks, among them:

• About 160 people identified with precedents or violations of the order -- considered strong ones -- have been detained or arrested, among them around 70 people for possession without permission;

• Also detained and arrested 154 people for whom there has been a national and 14 international search warrant for various criminal acts.
