In an interview for “Justice Vow”, Tahiri has said he had offered his resignation due to his disappointments that took place during recent developments in Kosovo's justice system.

Tahiri has said his resignation has seen it as reflecting justice in Kosovo.

I thought it was a good time to reflect on all these developments and I would resign from the post of minister of justice perhaps I see my post as a goal to realise my goals that go in favour of citizens”, Tahiri said.

He also said that “have offered my resignation despite being a person directly or responsible for many that sometimes one should feel responsible for many sense and moral issues that are not right, and I have expressed these concerns and I have usually thanked the prime minister abroad for his support, my party chairman Kadri Veselin for his support during this period. I've thought of it as an act I should do because of many developments that could also harm the visa liberalisation process”.

A few weeks ago, it was reported to the media that Abelard Tahiri has offered his resignation from the ministry's post because he visited Ujman Lake with the country's president, Hashim Thaci.
