22 Migrants Dead During Transport to Izmir

22 people, including children, were killed when a truck carrying migrants was fought in Izmir, news agencies reported.

13 people were injured and sent to the nearest hospital.

The State Attorney has announced investigations and stated that the truck driver could be arrested after treatment.

According to reports, migrants in the truck were heading to the Greek island of Samos in southern Izmir.

Nine of the wounded are children. It is not yet known about the origin of migrants.
