But in this big rival business they're turning out to be taxis working illegally because they don't pay their dues to the municipality and who are considered to be ruining competition in this area, Koha Ditore writes today.

The number of illegal taxis ranges from 80 to 120 vehicles in circulation, according to an assessment of municipalities. On the basis of appreciation, this number is estimated to grow during the winter season.

The municipal government, on the other hand, claims it is having a difficult time stopping taxis that are considered illegal and carry travellers to every corner of Gjilan's municipality. Because, they say, illegal taxis are successfully arriving to avoid Inspectorate and then continue to carry on.
