The frustrations of the 21 new buses that came to Pristina last Sunday continued today.
Owners of private bus lines companies in Pristina: 3A, 5, 7, 6, 7B, 7A and 10 have protested the municipality's decision to introduce new buses on their lines.
According to them, the arrival of these buses is taking away the destination travelers. They have even said that since the beginning of the circulation, they have lost their jobs as they have declared that they have not had a meeting with officials from the Communists until now. But such a thing denies Pristina municipality official Adonis Tahiri.
He said they have so far had several meetings with them and added they will not change their stance.
Tahiri: Operators must adapt, our stance is the same
We met them several times last week, and tomorrow we'll meet again. Again, our attitude is the same, the same situation we will clear up, the lines are not taken, in some of the stations meet private line buses and those on public lines. We have been promoting and making reform in urban traffic for five years now, whose reform, and operators, should adapt, not happen and vice versa, Tahiri said.
Meanwhile, representatives of private companies are expected to meet with the capital's first one tomorrow, Shpend Ahmeti, hoping they will manage to find a mutually acceptable solution.
The 21 new buses that came to Pristina last Sunday were released from Monday. Since that day, private urban companies have expressed their frustrations, Kosovo Prees reports. /S. Pajazit/
