According to the CDU-CSU coalition contract, within the year in Germany, 220,000 people from all parts of the world have the right to enter.
Mostly immigrants come from conflict countries: Syria, Palestine, Afghanistan.
Der Spiegel writes that this number remained “neto” because the number of refugees was many times greater, across Kosovo.
“Net“means new applicants minus deportations, repatriations and voluntary evacuations.
Interior Minister Horst Seehofer hopes the threshold of 200,000 people will not be passed within the year.
