With the start of the 2018 year in Albania, the retirement age for women changes, as well as age for men.
That is because, according to the reform, which went into effect in January 2015, there is a gradual increase in age and age in work, which is directly related to the pension measure.
Thus, this year a woman must be 60 and 8 months old in order to meet the retirement criteria.
With changes made to the law “for social security”, an increase in retirement age by two months a year is forecast, becoming 63 in 2032.
Then there will be increased ages for men to reach 67 years in 2056 for both genders.
But while men are not immediately affected by retirement age, they are affected by increased years of seniority at work.
This means that if a man was to have 35 years of age in December 2014, on January 1, 2018, he would have to be 36 years and 4 months.
Referring to legislation in force, gradual growth of age directly affects the size of old age pension, as it is one of the components of the formula for its estimate. /scan. tv
