The head of the Gjakova municipality, Ardian Gjini, has hosted a delegation today from the Swiss government CDI project, with which he has talked about joint projects the Gjakova municipality has with the Swiss government in terms of the water supply and water security network for municipal residents.
CDI representative Alan Brown has indicated that they have already completed drinking water projects in the region of Dushkaja and Good Reka, while in the final phase, the project for drinking water in the Wicked Reca, where CDI has financed the network extension in 28 villages.
In order for residents of the New Reca to be supplied with drinking water as soon as possible, Brown has asked the municipality to pay off its co-finance obligations for the project and to engage in the first-ever municipal project for bringing water from the source to the Botusha Bees to the new network.
In terms of these requirements, chairman Djind has announced that the municipality is committed its share of co-finance, worth about 250 thousand euros, to pay by June, when it is the pay deadline.
He said he also has the good mood of Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj for the Kosovo government to add part of the means so that this project can be completed as soon as possible and residents of the Bank's Reca have drinking water by the end of 2018.
