Washington, Seoul postpone military maneuvers

The two leaders agreed that joint American-korean South American military maneuvers would not take place during the Olympic period and that the armies of the two countries would do their best to ensure the safety of the” games, according to a communique by the Moon Jae In office.
According to Seoul, this decision was made Tuesday during a telephone conversation between the two leaders.
“Moon declared to Trump that postponing these maneuvers would contribute to the success of the Winter Olympic Games, from which even the possibility that genus would not use new provocations”, the communiqué said.
The Defence Department supports the president's decision and what is in the best interest of the US-Macedonian coalition”, commented a Pentagon spokesman, Colonel Rob Manning.
This statement comes hours after Donald Trump's statement praising that talks between South Korea and North Korea are a good thing.
