Prosecutors in Bosnia and Herzegovina say German authorities have arrested former Bosnian Serb forces member Milorad Obradovic, who is suspected of war crimes in this country following the destruction of former Yugoslavia.
The attorney general's office has recognised yesterday that the suspect Obradovic has been arrested in the Munich region, on the basis of an international charter from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the REL reports.
Earlier in the prosecution's announcement in Sarajevo, authorities in Germany have begun the procedure for extradition to Bosnia of this 51-year-old suspect.
Obradovic is suspected of participating in the imprisonment of nearly 120 Bosnian Muslim civilians near the northwestern town of Prijedor in July 1992.
Later the imprisoned civilians were executed, while three of them were killed by the suspect, Milan Obradovic, is highlighted in the indictment.
