VVI LDK shows whether to vote on Special Resolute, following return to the Assembly

Opposition parties, the Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo continue not to support the initiative for the Special Resolution. The Assembly of the Headship of the Assembly, which will be held on Wednesday, January 17th, has the application of deputies for the Procedure of the Law for Special Chambers and the Special Prosecutor's Office, as well as the request of the KLA war veterans' Organisation, the KLA War Invalids Association and the Association of Family Families of the NLA, for the Extraordinary Department.
The chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti, told Koha.net that the LDK position remains the same as it has been.
The LDK's “position is clear. The request of our international friends is clear, including the recommendation by the two special envoys of France and Germany on Thursday (October”, he said.
Hoti ruled that the tendency to abolish the Law for Specialised Chambers and the Specialised Prosecutor's Office undermines Kosovo's international subjectivity and its path towards Euro-Atlantic structures.
Even Vetevendosje Movement MP Albulen Haxhiu told Koha.net that they would continue to oppose the Special Court, since according to her, the Special will only present a distorted mirror for the truth and the fair fight of the KLA.
“We have not yet managed to see what the veterans' demand is because, as we know, signatures have been collected for the implementation of the current law, while the 43 deputies' initiative has been for abolishing the law. An unprecedented mess has become only for the personal interests of people carrying high positions, beginning with current president”, she said.
Haxhiu said that despite their insistence and opposition, the Parliament had backed the constitutional amendment for the Special.
So now the Special Court is a constitutional category and cannot be removed by law. Even MPs who have placed their signatures on that letter know that they are being controlled by Hashim Thaci and Kadri Wessel. What these need is pressure that through such initiatives the internationals say to remove their name from the list of indictees”, she added.
Haxhiu, among other things, said that the initials of this initiative felt neither about war nor about associates and war associates, but only about themselves, as she said, “therefore are able to do anything, to endanger Kosovo”.
“We as political subject continue to oppose the Special Court because the same will present a distorted mirror for the truth and the fair fight of the KLA!”, Haxhiu said of Koha.net.
Meanwhile, the AKR today indicated it would not support the initiative, which undermines Kosovo's relations with the West.
