At the memorial academy on the 12th anniversary of former President Ibrahim Rugova's death, LDK Deputy Chairman Agim Veliu has said that during his lifetime, Rugova led us with the highest standards in politics.
In history, big citizens don't live long and enjoy the fruits of their labor. The most important he left Kosovo heritage are the eternal alliances with our international friends. He did not deal with criticism and minor matters because his focus was on a large job. Nowadays, Kosovo badly needs to learn from Rugova's political experience in contrasting with those of today who are putting its interests ahead of state interests”, Veliu has said, KTV reports.
In addition, the LDK deputy chairman said that today Kosovo is more isolated internationally than in the 1990s when Rugova acted.
