American analyst for the Balkans Daniel Serwer has stated to the newspaper “Voice” that abolishing the Special Court Law will be followed by serious consequences for Kosovo, as, according to him, relations with the US and the EU will be much more problematic.
Repowering the Law on Special Court would make Kosovo's relations with the United States of America (SHBA), as well as with the European Union (BE) much more problematic, and this would have serious consequences for the country.
So said in an interview given the newspaper “Voice” American analyst for the Balkans Daniel Serwer, adding that Kosovo leaders are acting as if threatened by the Court.
After two failures for this issue to be prosecuted in the Assembly late last year, Serwer hopes such an effort will not be realised this month, as is expected to happen following MPs' return from last year's holiday.
The American analyst during this interview for “Zrin” has also talked about the failure to sign up the demarcation with Montenegro, with whom he estimates it is a reckless political act, as Kosovo needs visa liberalisation with the EU.
As for the Association of Communities with the Serbian Majority, he has said such an agreement must be implemented in line with the Kosovo Constitutional Court's ruling.
Even here, Kosovo has much more to gain from implementation of the programme than from its dropout of”, it has positioned Serwer.
