Social Network Operations Photos Banned

Social networking publishing of operations photos has been banned today following a decision by the Kosovo Hospital and Clinical Service General Directorate.

According to the decision, doctors who fail to comply with this ordinance may follow disciplinary measures.

Subsequent social networks are publishing status, photos and videos from working environments in the constituent institutions of SHSKUK. In many cases, images are also published from the operating room and other interventions, with which there are no criteria, so very often we are facing even purely professional medical views from the operating room and other interventions that are not for the public”, said the decision issued by Basri Sejdiu, QKUK General Director.

This decision has displeaseed a doctor who had only yesterday published a rare operation.

Laparascopeist Salih Krasniqi, through a Facebook post, has announced that he has been taken away by high QKUK organs for publishing videos that they think should be done with the permission of the Directorate for Information and Health Ministry.

According to Dr. Krasniqi, this decision is coming after he published yesterday's video of a rare operation at KKUK. According to doctors, surgery is the only one in the world.

Krasniqi considers that this decision is unfair, as it is good to reflect also the good work of doctors of this public institution.

The “Public that wants something new is welcome, and I think it should be published so that the population should be reported that we are also working on in the West. But the decision is decision”, Krasniqi wrote.
