16 years ago, in the lobby of his residence in Pec, the then Kosovo Parliamentary MP and Liberation Army Commander in Rugova, Smajl Hajdaraj, had been killed in an ambush. Today, 16 years later, no one has been convicted, and the family continues to seek justice.
The family views it as their last will, but was it Smajl Hajdright's warning before his execution?
In a manuscript, the MP from the ranks of the Democratic League of Kosovo had left a message for, as written on paper, the KLA hierarchy, which is already at the head of state.
According to Heidi, since then literal warfare has been hampered by a certain group. These leaders The KLA was used to familiarise the Army and personal interests.
“Vlen points out that military organisation and literal warfare have always hampered a group that for military concept had the concept outside institutional. The liberation army wanted to familiarize, privatise, and exploit it for careerist and purely personal interests”, writes the last message Kosovo left to the former commander of Rugova's area.
His son, Rescue Hajdaraj, told Gazeta Express that the children are guarding this letter as the final testament from the parent.
The letter from chronology explains war events and, according to Salvation, is becoming more powerful and meaningful every day.
Smajl Hajdaraj, one of several top LDK officials killed after the war, in the letter of office, expresses excited about the freedom won and appeals for commitment towards independence.
Next is Heidi's complete letter and its fax:
Thoughts
Even though the beginning of the liberation war found me party leader (LDK leader for Rugova) I have not speculated at all, but with all my political and authoritarian potential I have attached myself to the holy liberation war. That was the case with part of LDK activists and most of their membership. From the beginning of the action of Rugova Regional Staff (the commander of which I was until 14 January 1999) until Rugova's fall as a territory (on 21 April 1999) Rugova and Rugovas fought a typical and multi-chain battle: A) Rugova's Teritori was held free territory (Rugova fell on April 21st 1999) b) over the entire time we made the admission, shelter and escort of tens of thousands of fugitives from the Dukagjini Raraf region. c) We made acceptance, the shelter and arrangement of soldiers expelled from the Dukagjin Plain. Most of them asked for what we had been able to do. d) Rugova's Teritori and her army were put in permanent service for the passage and supply of Kosovo areas with necessary weapons and ammunition.
I think these truths and these jobs should not be forgotten by anyone, as long as before by the KLA military hierarchy. It is important to note that military organisation and literal warfare have always hampered a group that for military concept was uninstinctative. The liberation army wanted to familiarise it, privatise it, and exploit it for career interests and purely personal ones. That's what time has witnessed. Their greatest struggle was against those few institutions established and the LDK members (read mostly Rogovian). Finally. I am very excited about the freedom won, and I once appeal that we should all engage together in building our current Kosovo Independence -- goal.
