Albania's prime minister, Edi Rama, said at the meeting of the Socialist Parliamentary Group, that despite the opposition's other agenda, rather than the focus on the negotiation opening process, the majority is open to dialogue.
The “Fantazities fueled by the fear of a part of the political spectrum and the propaganda for measuring justice is nonsense. It's bullshit that if there was no one else and no longer the EU, or the US, would allow the slightest show of attempt to capture justice. The opposition has an agenda that does not comply with the 100% focus the political class should have in this process to guarantee the opening of negotiations, we have the obligation to continue trying to create conditions for dialogue with the opposition”, Rama said.
He briefed the left MPs for participation in the Davos forum, and the meetings held, where he said Albania has marked progress, and the EU officials' opinions are about opening negotiations very soon, Top Channel writes.
I wish to tell you that in all the meetings and contacts made during these three intensive days it was perfectly clear to us that Albania is a step closer to the start of negotiations for EU membership. Reform in justice, the beginning of self-preservation work, and above all the clarity that it is already a process that has no chance of stumbling or being blocked, are a very solid basis for receiving a clear recommendation from the European Commission and for the adoption of the European Council for the opening of negotiations on membership”.
The “E emphasises that the clarity created in all actors and key factors in relation to the opening of negotiations concerning the inability of the political stalemate in justice, property, consolidated with the election of the General Prosecutor, and with the process of forming KLP and the KLDR itself, there is a strong reason for the EU to look to the historic negotiation process for optimism on our part. The moment we speak, Albania is considered to have performed its homework precisely. Of course, there is no moment to stop, and the entire process continues daily. Progress is marked”, Rama said.
