Russia has a supersonic passenger plane, Tu-144, but operated for less than a decade due to economic inefficiency. The same thing happened with the plane “British-French Concorde”, which made its last flight in 2003, reports “RT” Transmission Periscope.
After conveying the flight test of Tu-160, Putin suggested this kind of plane would revive the current economy.
“Tu-144 has been removed from production due to the ticket cost based on the country's average salary. Now the situation is different. Many companies are interested in operating on such a plane,” he said.
