Data by Kosovo Police has shown a significant increase in attempted suicide in Kosovo over the past 14 years.
The wide aim of this organisation is to face social problems, and the idea came as a result of the alarming increase in the number of suicide attempts in the past years.
The co-founder of this Bind Skeja organisation told Radio KFOR that he hoped he would find financial support to help people who face this sensitive phenomenon and added: “we are preparing to start funding applications, and our hope is to start this year”.
Skeya also said that she hopes they will arrive as soon as they provide this service to all who will need it.
Between 2001 and 2003, there were about 100 suicide attempts per year, while between 2004 and 2017, those figures increased to over 200 people, peaking in 2010 to 372 people who attempted suicide.
