Environment and Spatial Planning Minister Albena Resitaj said today during a meeting with Pristina Chairman Shpend Ahmeti that they have reached agreement on the debt payment this minister has to the municipality of Pristina, which totals 7m euros, where 800 thousand euros have been returned so far.

Resiti said any responsibility will be taken with dedication, as they want to create a positive co-operation with the Pristina municipality.

We have reached a kind of agreement on how that payment will be made, I regret that in the past I have inherited such a problem, but we are willing to start a collaboration with a new positive and normally every responsibility we have will take with dedication, so we just got dressed”, she said.

In this regard, the capital's first issue, Shpend Ahmeti, announced that with the creation of a payment plan, all indictments will be drawn to this ministry.

“We agreed that in the coming years there will be a payment plan that is acceptable to both sides and that the moment we sign it with the ministry that will be paid for these years with these sums, then we also withdraw from the owners and indictments we have made to“, he said.

Otherwise, Minister Resiti said that during this meeting with Pristina chairman Shpend Ahmeti have also talked about issues that we minimize problems for citizens of the capital.

It made it known that the project to build the sewage plant will cost around 86m euros, while the ministry it heads has allocated 3m euros for the project, while the Kosovo government has allocated 20m euros, and the rest is a donation from France's treasury.

With the aim of boosting air quality, Minister Resiti said they would work with dedication to building the inner ring in the capital.

“We have talked about building the interior ring, where we as minister have pledged that we will work devotedly to expropriating all lands in interest, which will be included in this ring, this will also have impacts on lowering air pollution levels, a huge problem of Pristina municipality. We will also work on launching awareness campaigns for Pristina citizens on air level”, she said.

Resitij also said that during this meeting, they agreed on building the deposits for inert waste where, as minister for 2018, they have allocated 50,000 euros for the project, which will cost about 350 thousand euros.

The introduction of the mandated fines and the creation of green police, the creation of green areas in the capital were also the topics of the meeting.

Pristina Mayor Shpend Ahmeti said meetings like this are of interest when the quality of citizens' lives is at stake, as long as there has never been greater government support than during this mandate.

Ahmeti considered the internal ring construction project as a capital project that would sack the city centre and is expected to be completed in the next five years.

The city's <x0.>Unaza is the most infrastructural capital project in the Republic of Kosovo, and of course, the Pristina municipality cannot afford to finance this for itself the entire project, which connects from the surrounding route to Gorena for Gjilan, goes up the road to Besia, would download much communication and make a very good solution, we think that somewhere the amount is over 50 million euros of road construction and then we have exhummmation, which with the property labs we'll make too soon,<1x>, he said.

He also said the sewer construction project would solve the sewer problem for the next 50 years.

Ahmeti is also working on building a shelter for stray dogs to eliminate risks for the capital's citizens.
